This section controls all events that appear on the events calendar for your church. This section also determines if event will be displayed in the ministry section.
You may add, update or remove all events for your church.
To add an event, click on add event. Give the event a Name (which is visible in the quick view on the events calendar), address, time, starting date, contact person, how the contact person should be reached, and an event description.
If you would like to associate your event with a ministry, select the appropriate ministry from the drop-down box.
To view events already entered, click on view events. You may update or delete these events by pressing the appropriate button.
If you would like your event to be available on the faithonline.com homepage, check 'yes' on the 'Global Event' line
- If you selected an event to recur, only the first day will be shown in the 'view events' section. If you would like to update all recurring events, simply click the update button on the main event and change the information as necessary. Similarly, if you wish to delete all the recurring events, press the delete button.
- If you would like to update/delete events that were part of a recurring event, click on the link of the main recurring event. You will may then edit/delete events individually.
- To quickly select a start date, click on the calendar icon and choose the appropriate date.
- If you are adding an event that will occur more than once, be sure to check the "recurring event" radio button. Next, select the whether the event will recur by day, week, or month. Then select how many times the event will recur.
- Example: If you have an event that will happen once a week for four weeks, you would select "week" from the "By" drop-down box and "4" from the "#Times" drop-down box.
- To view all the events you have entered, click on view events. A list of your most current events will be shown. You may then update or delete the event by clicking on the appropriate buttons.
- Those that are members of a community church portal, such as SaultChurches.com, should select 'yes' if you want your event to be displayed on the community calendar.
